The original Okay. Now What? guide text, written instructions, website and app code, original artwork and logo artwork, interface assets, original diagrams, and other original content are proprietary to the Okay. Now What? project and/or their respective authors and are protected to the extent provided by applicable intellectual-property law.
Making the guides available for free does not place that original content in the public domain and does not grant ownership of it to users.
Your license to use the free guides
Okay. Now What? grants individual users a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the public guides for personal, noncommercial gameplay assistance.
What you may not do
Unless you have prior written permission from Okay. Now What?, you may not copy, scrape, bulk-extract, mirror, reproduce, republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense, commercially exploit, or create a competing guide database from substantial portions of our original guide text, code, interface assets, artwork, or other original content. You may not remove ownership notices or use Okay. Now What? branding in a way that falsely suggests affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.
You also may not package our original materials into another website, app, AI dataset, downloadable guide collection, paid product, subscription, or commercial service without permission.
Ideas, systems, and independent creation
These terms do not claim ownership of general ideas, facts, game mechanics, methods, systems, or functionality that intellectual-property law does not protect. They protect our original expression and govern use of the materials we actually publish. Independent creation that does not copy protected Okay. Now What? material is not prohibited by this notice.
Enforcement
Okay. Now What? reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law with respect to unauthorized copying, distribution, commercial exploitation, misuse of protected content, or misuse of its branding. Nothing in these terms is a waiver of any intellectual-property right or legal remedy.
Game rights and trademarks
Okay. Now What? is an independent, unofficial fan-created guide project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by Nintendo or any other game publisher. Game names, trademarks, characters, and other game intellectual property belong to their respective owners.
What this beta distributes
The public beta distributes independently written guide text, original interface code, and original schematic diagrams. It does not provide ROMs, game software, encryption keys, firmware, extracted game assets, or downloadable copies of game artwork.
Use of the guide
The guide is informational and may contain mistakes. It is intended to be used with a lawfully obtained copy of the relevant game. Beta content can change without notice.
Privacy
This beta does not require an account. Guide progress, text-size preferences, and any personal reference images you add inside the guide are stored locally in your own browser using local storage; they are not uploaded by the guide itself.
If you submit in-guide or site feedback, the information you enter plus guide context needed to diagnose the issue may be transmitted through Netlify's form infrastructure and used to improve the beta. This beta does not intentionally include third-party behavioral advertising.
Tips and future paid features
Tips are voluntary support for the independent project and are not charitable donations. Future paid scanner functionality may be offered under separate purchase terms when released.
Changes
These beta terms may be updated as the project develops. Continued use after an update is subject to the then-current terms.
